1. Mount Bromo : Mount Bromo isn’t just a single volcano; it sits inside a massive, ancient caldera (a collapsed volcanic crater) surrounded by a vast desert of dark volcanic sand known as the “Sea of Sand.”
The Famous Sunrise: Most tours start at 3:00 AM, taking you by 4×4 jeep to a viewpoint on Penanjakan Hill,Kingkong Hill,Seruni Point. As the sun rises, it lights up the mist settled around the caldera, making the volcanoes look like they are floating on a sea of clouds.Walking to the Rim after sunrise, you cross the desert floor and can hike up a flight of stairs directly to the edge of Bromo’s active, smoking crater to look down into the rumbling center.
2. Ijen Crater / Kawah Ijen : The Rare Blue Fire: High-pressure sulfuric gases escape from cracks in the volcano at temperatures exceeding 400°C – 600°C. When these gases hit the oxygen-rich air, they ignite into brilliant, electric-blue flames that are only visible in the pitch darkness of night.The Turquoise Acid Lake: As dawn breaks, the blue flames fade to reveal the world’s largest highly acidic crater lake. The water is a striking, surreal turquoise color due to the extreme acidity and dissolved metals.The Sulfur Miners: During your trek down into the crater, you will pass local miners who manually carry baskets of solid yellow sulfur weighing up to 80 kg (176 lbs) up and out of the steep crater rocky paths.
ITINERARY TOUR PROGRAM
- DAY 1 :
Our partner (Driver) will pick you up in the morning at yogyakarta (Hotel,Homestay),and then drive to yogyakarta train station by car.
From yogyakarta to surabaya you go by train about 4 and half hours.Arrive in surabaya city,and meet our staff,and then drive to bondowoso city about 4 hours to stay 1 night,and free program.
- DAY 2 :
Be ready for the next challenge for IJEN CRATER TOUR (BLUE FIRE PROGRAM,IF YOU WANT TO) because you have to start from the accommodation in the midnight. After 2 hours drive from accommodation,you will arrive at parking area of IJEN CRATER. You can have a coffee or tea before hike.
The gates will be open at 2 am. You only need to treeking from the gates until blue fire area,about 1 hour 30 minutes. Afterward,you don’t have to stay longer in blue fire area because still danger area and so many people would be coming.
Come back again to the rim of vulcano,wait until the sunrise,and enjoy panorama and sunrise from the top. After enjoy panorama at ijen crater,come back again to the parking area while you’r driver waiting over there.
Drive back to the hotel for breakfast,take a shower etc.Afterward,drive to the next accommodation near by bromo area about 4 and half hours,and free program.
IMPORTAND NOTICE FOR IJEN CRATER :
● Many local tour guide create bluefire/blueflame,burning sulfur by them self.
● Visitors descending into the crater must maintain a minimum safety distance of 500 meters from the sulfur mining area.
● The visibility of the blue fire is not guaranteed, as it depends on weather conditions and gas/mining activity.
● One think you should know. At the moment,bluefire program are impossible to do. There’s no real bluefire again,because the miners want to produce more sulfur.
- DAY 3 :
The tour program will be start at 03.00 AM in the morning. The jeep driver will be wait in the front of your accommodation,and then drive to panorama parking area about 25 minutes to go to Panorama and sunrise point . Afterward you can walk to the sunrise point about 15 minutes as well.
Enjoy sunrise and panorama over there,and then back to the jeep parking area again.After from sunrise and panorama area,you can drive again with jeep to go to sea of sand parking area.
It takes about 30 minutes to go to the top of Bromo volcano. You don’t have to stay longger at the crater,because will be so many people,and narrow rims. Back to the jeep parking area,and drive to accommodation for breakfast,shower and etc. Drop off at you’r next place and ijen bromo from yogyakarta tour finish.
