ITINERARY :

• Pick up from accommodation in banyuwangi city at 00.30 AM,and then drive to paltuding parking area about 1 hour or 1 hour and 15 minutes.
• Start to trekking at 02.00 AM from parking area untill blue fire area,about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
• Do not stay at blue fire area longer,because still one of dangerous area a lot of smoke from sulfur (smell so bad like rotten egg,and toxic).
• Back to the top of volcano again to enjoy panorama and sunrise.
• After enjoy panorama and sunrise,back to the parking area again  while you’r driver waiting over there.
• Explore Coffee and Rubber plantation,and factory.
• Drive back to the accommodation (Hotel or Homestay) and the tour finish.

SUKAMADE TURTLE CONSERVATION AREA :

Sukamade turtle conservation area is a hidden place located within the Meru betiri national park in Banyuwangi,East java,Indonesia. Renowned as one of Indonesia most important sea turtle sanctuaries. Sukamade is a pristine,remote beach where giant sea turtle have been laying their eggs for centuries.

Here is detailed description of this remarkable conservation area :

● The Sea Turtle Spesies :For out of the world’s seven sea turtle spesies frequently visit sukamade to lay their eggs. The most common visitor is the Green turtle,but you can also occasionally spot :

• Hawksbill Turtle
• Olive Ridley Turtle
• Leatherback Turtle (The largest of all sea turtles)

● The Conservation Efforts :Managed by the national park authorities,the conservation program at sukamade is highly active and organized.

• Egg protection : every night park ranger patrol the beach. Once a turtle finishes laying her eggs,ranger carefully collect them and move them to a secure,fenced hatchery to protect them from natural predator (like wild boars,birds,and monitors).
• Semi natural hatchery : the eggs are buried in the sand inside a protected facility until they hatch (usually taking 45 to 60 days).
• Baby turtle release : once the eggs hatch,the tiny baby turtles (tukik) are gathered,and visitors are often invited to help release them back into ocean,giving them a saver head start in life.
