Mount Bromo isn’t just a single volcano; it sits inside a massive, ancient caldera (a collapsed volcanic crater) surrounded by a vast desert of dark volcanic sand known as the “Sea of Sand.”
The Famous Sunrise: Most tours start at 02:30 AM, taking you by 4×4 jeep to a viewpoint on KINGKONG HILL. As the sun rises, it lights up the mist settled around the caldera, making the volcanoes look like they are floating on a sea of clouds.
After sunrise, you cross the desert floor and can hike up a flight of stairs directly to the edge of Bromo’s active, smoking crater to look down into the rumbling center.
● TUMPAKSEWU WATERFALL : Known as the “Niagara of indonesia”.This towering semi circular cascade drops over 120 meters into a lush ,green jungle ravine.
● IJEN CRATER : Has an altitude 2386 meters above level,and Has the biggest acid lake in the world and very deep acid lake with 200 meters deep. The lake has a green tosca colour,because containing by sulfur.The Electric Blue Fire and Acid Lake

High-pressure sulfuric gases escape from cracks in the volcano at temperatures exceeding 600°C. When these gases hit the oxygen-rich air, they ignite into brilliant, electric-blue flames that are only visible in the pitch darkness of night.

ITINERARY TOUR 4D/3N (TUMPAKSEWU – BROMO – IJEN CRATER – BALI) :
- DAY 1 :
Our driver will pick you up (Airport,Train Station,Hotel,etc) and drive to the Tea plantation,and factory. After plantation program,you have to drive again to the village (Pronojiwo) near by Tumpaksewu waterfall area,You can ask the driver,if you want to stop to have a lunch on the way.Afterward,you will stay 1 night and free program.
● Note : Not only plantation,you can go to the factory of tea as well.And you can buy some of tea product in that area.
- DAY 2 :
Wake up early in the morning and be ready for the tour.You can start the tour (Tumpaksewu) at 05.30 AM,because if you start the tour little bit late,would be so many peoples.Enjoy your moment at Panorama area before go down into the main waterfall.
After explore Tumpak Sewu waterfall,you can come back to accommodation for breakfast,take a shower,etc and you can check out at 11 am from accomodation. Afterward,you have to drive again to go to another accomodation about 3 and half hours,and free program.
● Note : If you decided to go down into the main waterfall & tetes cave,that would be 100% wet. Bring proper sandal like teva or wet,rubber shoes.
- DAY 3 :
The tour program will be start at 03.00 AM in the morning. The jeep driver will be wait in the front of your accommodation,and then drive to panorama parking area about 25 minutes.
From panorama and sunrise point parking area,you can walk to the sunrise point about 10 minutes as well. Enjoy sunrise and panorama over there,and then back to the jeep parking area again. After from sunrise area,you can drive again with jeep to go to sea of sand parking area. And then you can walk to go to the crater of Bromo. It takes about 30 minutes.
You don’t have to stay longger at the crater,because will be so many people,and narrow rims.Back to the jeep parking area,and drive to accommodation for breakfast,shower and etc. Check out from the accommodation around maximum 10 am will be better.Afterward you have to drive to another city,to go to the next accommodation about 4 to 5 hours,and you can stop by for lunch or buy snack.

- DAY 4 :
Be ready for the next challenge for IJEN CRATER TOUR (BLUE FIRE) because you have to start from the accommodation in the midnight. After 1 hours drive from accommodation,you will arrive at parking area of IJEN CRATER and You can have a coffee or tea before hike.
The gates will be open at 2 am,you only need to treeking from the gates until blue fire area,about 1 hour 30 minutes. Afterward,you don’t have to stay longer in blue fire area because still danger area and so many people would be coming.
Come back again to the rim of vulcano,wait until the sunrise,and enjoy panorama from the top. After enjoy panorama at ijen crater,come back again to the parking area while you’r driver waiting over there.
Drive back to the hotel for breakfast,take a shower etc.Afterward,drive to the port it’s call ketapang about 30 until 45 minutes.The driver will help you to prepare everything (booking ferry tickets,scan ferry tickets),and then you can sail to go to bali island with ferry about 1 hour.You’r driver from bali will be waiting at exit area of bali port,and drive with him to go to you’r place (homestay,hotel) in bali and tumpaksewu bromo ijen tour finish.
IMPORTAND NOTICE FOR IJEN CRATER :
● Many local tour guide create bluefire/blueflame,burning sulfur by them self.
● Visitors descending into the crater must maintain a minimum safety distance of 500 meters from the sulfur mining area.
● The visibility of the blue fire is not guaranteed, as it depends on weather conditions and gas/mining activity.
● One think you should know. At the moment,bluefire program are impossible to do. There’s no real bluefire again,because the miners want to produce more sulfur.
