How big is ijen crater
From the story of ancient active vulcano a long time ago. Inside an eponymous larger caldera ijen,which is about 20 kilometers (12 mi). The active crater at kawah ijen has a diameter of 722 metres (2,369 ft),and a surface area of 0.41 square kilometres (0.16 sq mi).
Blue fire
The blue fire is ignite sulfuric gas,which emergas fromcracks at temperatures up to 600 degres celcius (1,1112 degres fahrenheit). The flames can be up to five meters (16 feet) high. Some of the gas condenses to liquid and is still ignited. This gas is so bad not only for envifoment also for humans.

ITINERARY TOUR PROGRAM
- Our driver will pick you up from banyuwangi city at 00.30 AM in the midnight. Afterward,you drive to go to ijen crater parking area about 1 hour. From parking area,you will meet with you’r local tour guide (He will give you information,and share gas mask for blue fire tour). You can have a coffee or tea before hike.
- The gates will be open at 2 am,ask your local guide to start little bit early and wait in the front of gates before open.That will be so many people to see bluefire. You only need to treeking from the gates until blue fire area,about 1 hour 30 minutes. Afterward,you don’t have to stay longer in blue fire area because still danger area and so many people would be coming.
- Come back again to the rim of vulcano,wait until the sun goes up,and enjoy panorama from the top. After enjoy panorama at ijen crater,come back again to the parking area while you’r driver waiting over there.
- Drive back to the hotel and the tour finish ( if you start from banyuwangi city ). But if you start from bali island,and wants to come back to bali island again. The driver will take you to the port it’s call ketapang about 1 hour and 15 minutes from ijen crater parking area. The driver will help you to prepare everything (booking ferry tickets,scan ferry tickets),and then you can sail to go to bali island with ferry about 1 hour.You’r driver from bali will be waiting at exit area of bali port,and drive with him to go to you’r place (homestay,hotel) in bali and the tour finish.
